The Jazz Generation will perform songs representative of some of the greatest women jazz vocalists, based on their show, "Great Women of Jazz" which premiered in 2004. The Jazz Generation band was established as a multi-ethnic, multi-generational band in 2003. Twelve CDs and 2 musical stage shows are the result. In addition, the band specializes in performing music of specific decades drawn from their extensive repertoire in diverse musical genres, including R&B, pop, Latin, folk, and country, as well as a variety of jazz styles.
A classy, professional, versatile, entertaining, East Coast style group, Suzanne Brooks/The Jazz Generation have performed together for more than a dozen years, giving them a tight, close-knit sound. Lyrics can be in multiple languages.

Betty Carter, Astrud Gilberto and “Nica’s Dream,” composed by Horace Silver; named for Baronness Kathleen Annie Pannonica de Koenigswarter; a leading patron of jazz, including musicians Thelonious Monk and Charlie Parker.
