Suzanne Brooks: multifaceted social entrepreneur whose expertise and creativity are drawn from work and commitment to human and civil rights, education and the arts. Owner, Creative Concepts Systems (CCS), a consulting business offering training, professional writing support, vocal coaching and event planning.

An artist in music, literature, theater and dance, Suzanne Brooks is the vocalist, bandleader and songwriter of her own band--The Jazz Generation. She writes poems, stories, essay and musical theater script as well as songs--music and lyrics. She is hula dancer.  A singer since early childhood, she spent many years in church choirs and remains fond of all kinds of religious music, from hymns and chants to gospel. She credits her vast repertoire in jazz, pop, R&B, folk and country to exposure to many kinds of people in many different religious environments. 
 
Originally from Philadelphia, PA, Brooks is a fine singer and excellent speaker on an array of timely topics. A recipient of many awards, she has worked for decades to see that others get deserved recognition too.Suzanne Brooks is founder/CEO of both WomenWorldCulture and International Association for Women of Color Day. With a coalition of Philadelpha Policewomen and community women, she co-founded the first Police Athletic League for Girls in the nation and later cofounded Girls, Inc. there. Justice 4 All WOC was co-founded in Sacramento. She has also worked as a multi-lingual administrator in higher education institutions, affirmative action officer, multi-cultural center director, teacher, community organizer and specialist in civil rights, women's issues, cross-cultural communication, community economic development, and English as a second language.
 
A former Philadelphia, PA police officer, she has administered university affirmative action and science educational equity programs, and served as a mentor to students from K-12, university and adult community levels.
 
Suzanne Brooks earned the B.A in education and English; M.A in English/Creative Writing. She has completed all but her dissertations for doctorates in adult education at Penn State University and Educational Leadership and Change at the Fielding Institute. She is fluent in Spanish and has also studied French, Latin, Hawaiian and American Sign Language.
 
She has been active in a variety of university and community service organizations, including National Council of Negro Women--Sacramento Chapter, National Institute for Women of Color, Center for Women's Policy Studies, Nevada Women's Fund, Negro Business and Professional Women (Reno), Penn State University Strategic Study on Status of Women, University of Nevada Reno Committee on International Student Concerns, LaSalle University Women on Campus Program, Cheyney State University American Friends Service College Committee, American Civil Liberties Union, Pullman (WA) Civic Arts Committee, Girls-Incorporated, Guardian Civic League (Black Police Officers), Washoe County (Nevada) Personnel Committee, Reno Women's Commission, Soroptimist International and Communications Workers of America. She is currently a member of American Federation of Musicians Local 12, ASCAP (Songwriters) and  on the board of Women and Life on Earth--an international women's peace organization.
 
Her travels include most of the continental United States plus Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands. Internationally, she has visited Argentina, Australia, Canada, Costa Rica, Cuba, Kenya, Libya, Mexico, New Zealand, United Kingdom (England), Uruguay and Venezuela.
 
Suzanne Brooks continues to read and write continuously and speaks effectively and entertainingly on a wide variety of topics. Sjhe has written 4 books and recorded 12 CD. Several of her speeches and/or interviews can be found on Blog Talk Radio shows online.
